Captain Jim Long is a third generation native guide of Homosassa. Jim is a member of the Homosassa Guide Association and the Florida Guides Association. He grew up fishing the local Florida waters and started guiding full time in 1989. Capt Jim also is a Nuisance Alligator Control Agent for the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission, which allows him to take clients on Alligator hunts.

Homosassa Outfitters can accommodate you. Fishing and hunting packages can be arranged according to your needs. Bay fishing, flats fishing, fly-fishing, inshore grouper fishing and specialized hunts such as gator hunts, duck hunting, and turkey hunting. Fishing packages of 1 to 60, no group is too small or too large. All boats are comfortable and custom rigged for fishing. All bait, tackle, ice and license are included.

Capt Jim specializes in all inshore species along the West Coast of Florida, such as Tarpon, Cobia, Grouper, Redfish, Trout, Mackeral, Bluefish, and Pompano.

FLATS FISHING: Experience an 18 ft. Baycraft with a 125 Mercury equipped with a fly-fishing stand for optimal exposure to hook a Tarpon. Cobia and Redfish are targeted with this boat as well.

GULF INSHORE FISHING: Experience a 24 ft. Pro-Line with a 150 Mercury Optimax, and target fish like Trout, Grouper, Mackeral, Bluefish, Pompano, Cobia, Shark, Redfish and many other species.

ALLIGATOR / DUCK HUNTS: Experience a Diamondback Airboat that is rigged for gator hunting and duck hunting.
